Music, TV, Films , life in general more care free, less crime (yes it existed but not as much as today) as much as technology is good it also killed of a lot of things, shops, socialising outside, great times being a kid playing out instead of being stuck indoors on latest game console or sky, Netflix etc . just everything in general tbh. |
I'm just as guilty at looking at the 1970's through rose tinted glasses ,I'm more guilty than others, and I'm sure todays millennials will look back in twenty years time and think the same about this period..(especially if climate change has its wicked way with the world, and there living in some post apocalyptic world trying not to get molested by hordes of roaming half man half cockroach beasts..)...its all subjective. The 70s had three day weeks, power cuts, Yorkshire Ripper, Vietnam war and The Val Doonican Music Show just to name a few horrors...still I'm off to blow a disc jockey and molest a Space hopper while getting my Raleigh Chopper lubed...
