* The song originally appeared on the 1965 album 'Help'
* The Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki watch the band performing on the TARDIS Time-Space Visualiser
* The footage of the band using in the programme was filmed at Riverside Studios, for inclusion in the 'Top Of The Pops' television show which was originally broadcast on Saturday, 10th April, 1965
* The original intention was to feature the band appearing as themselves, but under heavy 'ageing' make-up, to represent themselves in 1996, playing at the Festival of Ghana. Although the four members of the group approved the idea, in manager Brian Epstein objected to them appearing on the programme
* Because of the BBC's practice of wiping shows that were not considered 'important', it is ironic that 'The Executioners' is now the only remaining source of any surviving Beatles footage from 'Top of the Pops'
* Due to the fact that the music is covered by an agreement for use in the UK, the sequence with The Beatles is only included on the Region 2 release of 'The Chase'.
