It was something called WE GOT THIS COVERED which suggested about the change of TARDIS.
I don't know them or their reliability so i just took it with a pinch of salt but with the BBC you never know.
To be honest, i can't believe Chibnall, an active fan back in the day, would agree to a change in TARDIS just for PC'ness. He'd be the most hated person the series ever had anything to do with, surely. I mean, Michael Grade probably got off lightly in comparison to the backlash this would bring.
Surely someone at management level noticed the viewing figures drop to record lows. It wasn't the stories as such for me but the preaching added to the stories oh and the retconning too. The stories last time were far better than Chibnall's first series, at least for me. It was just that the bullshit became even louder.
