Secret Admirer (1985)
A comedy about a love letter going to the wrong person which then escalates as additional people end up seeing the very same letter.
Whilst not what i'd call a laugh out loud comedy Secret Admirer is one of those films that is easy to watch, keeps you engaged throughout and plays out like an enjoyable farce rather than a typical teen comedy.
The cast including C. Thomas Howell and Kelly Preston are all good especially Lori Loughlin, although she couldn't play frumpy and put upon if she tried. The cast is fleshed out with strong turns by Fred Ward, Leigh Taylor-Young and the constantly watchable Dee Wallace, all who end up as unwilling victims of the anonymous love letter.
