Season one part 2.

The Galileo Seven

Spock , Bones ,Scotty and three other crew members become trapped on a planet when there shuttle crashes. Kirk has limited time and resources to find them.

A enjoyable and tense race against time story , the creatures on the planet are laughable but still a good episode.

The Squire of the Gothos.

The enterprise and her crew explores a lone planet and become prisoners for a godlike and childish alien.

The Alien Trelane is basically a prototype Q.another good episode even if Trelane is more annoying than menacing .

Arena.

The crew pursue a unknowing starship after a planetary base is destroyed. The captain's of both vessels are transported down too the planet by unknowing aliens too fight too the death.

Always loved this one, it has what can be said to one of the best of worst fight scenes with Kirk using his Kirk-Fu to fight a giant lizard. We it also features that iconic rock formation that's been seen in many other shows,it's even been dubbed kirks rock.

Tomorrow is yesterday .

After a accident the enterprise finds itself back in the 1960s and must find away back home.

For a time travel story found this too be a bit dull, average .

Court martial

Kirk faces Court martial after the death of a crewman. Nothing more than a dull courtroom drama.

The return of the Archons

The enterprise and her crew are sent too a planet where a starship disappeared a hundred years ago. Kirk and do beam down after Sulu returns and starts acting strangely. Not long after being on planet the crew soon learn that a certain times of the day the ship inhabitants become violent and sex crazed.

It's an ok episode but it does seem like it could of been an influence for the Purge movies.

Space Seed

A spacecraft from late 20th century earth is discovered, the crew of the ship which are in cryonic Suspension. Kirk unwittingly revives the crew of the ship unaware that it's a group of genetic superman men lead by one Khan Noonien Singh.

I have only one thing too say about this episode.

A classic episode with fantastic performance from Ricardo Montalban as Khan.

A taste of Armageddon.

Kirk , Spock and some security people beam down too a planet who has been at war with its neigbour. Once they have beamed down Kirk and his party are informed that they have been killed in attack, we learn that while the war is still going on there is no direct fighting and attacks and casualties are calculated by computers and those whom die in attacks will later be killled.

A interesting episode with its premise if a little slow .

This Side of Pardise.

The enterprise is sent too investigate a planet which was colonized years ago, detecting a lethal form of radiation they don't expect to find anyone alive but are surprised when they find that everyone is alive and in perfect health . The crew beam down and are soon exposed to a spores which turn them all peaceful and happy and not wanting to leave soon the entire crew is exposed apart from Kirk.

Another enjoyable episode with the highlight being Spock who is now the complete opposite from his typical self and spends his time hanging from trees, singing and making out!

The Devil in the dark

Another classic episode the enterprise is summoned too mining colony in which a number of miners have been killed by a unknowing creatures. A enjoyable story that's the usual tale that we shouldn't judge someone or something by its appearance .

The errand of mercy

While Negotiating a treaty with a planet that borders between federation and Klingon space , war is declared . Kirk and Spock are trapped on the planet when a invading Klingon force invades the planet . It soon become apparent that there is something not quite right about the inhabitants of the planet.

The first episode that we see and that the klingons are mentioned . A enjoyable and Fast paced episode with good dynamic between Kirk and the Klingon commander.

The Alternative factor.

Probably the worst episode of the first season with some dull and laughable story of two brings whom look alike with one made of matter and the other of antimatter who have been fighting for eternity.

The city on the edge of forever

Probably the highest rated and most well knowing episode of the classic series.

While exploring some time quakes , Mccoy ends up in the past just before America enters the second world war, Spock and Kirk must travel back in time as McCoy has some how changed time and the federation no longer exists. Kirk falls in love with Edith Keeler( Joan Collins ) but has too make the ultimatum sacrifice too save the future. Very emotional and well acted episode, that shows star trek is at it's best when it's story's has nothing to do with huge space battles and typical sci-fi trappings.

Operation annihilate

The Kirk receives a distress call from the colony planet that his brother and his family live on. Beaming down Kirk finds his brother dead , his brothers wife in great pain and his young nephew in coma. Spock is infected by a strange jellyfish type creature that cause great pain to those they infect. It's up too McCoy too fine a cure ,saving kirks family,Spock as well as The entire planet.

Nothing spectacular but another enjoyable episode with a great dynamic between Kirk,Bones and Spock.
