The Holy Mountain. (Der heilige Berg). 1926.

A dancer Diotima meets a enginner and skier Karl and the two begin a affair, when Karl's friend Vigo arrives and Diotima passes him a scarf, Vigo becomes infatuated with her and slowly a love triangle begins.

I never thought i'd get the chance to see this film again and feel very fortunate to do so with a updated release, the captivation of the story is told in somewhat of slow pace but you have to admire the story told of a tragic love affair, the music that is played along, the perfect cinematography and the setting for it. Arnold Fanck and Leni Riefenstahl really put a lot of effort into this even though it took a short time to write and almost a year to film, really do have to admire them.
