Because although i like it, it has always felt to me like a greatest hits package of the earlier trilogy, with the apartment refuge feeling a retread of the supermarket in Dawn and the thinking zombies a direct line back to Bub in Day.
I feel the actual story is lightweight and kinda fizzles out. It doesn't affect me like the originals.

It's set years after Day so if one zombie can gain a form of intelligence it goes without saying others will too.
Embellishing a theme isn't the same as lifting scenes directly from previous films which is what Halloween did.
Besides it's Romero taking the zombie timeline a stage further. I'd avoid Survival of the Dead totally if you don't appreciate that.
