Crimes At The Dark House. 1940

A mad man kills a man who has just inherited a large estate and assumes the dead man's identity and continues his murder spree around the house.

I have never seen this Tod Slaughter movie in a while and feel very happy to be doing so, he plays the fake Sir Percival Glyde pretty well and he does try to over act at times. Done on a low budget, this does have some tense and suspense moments with some little light humour added in. The light used in the film does come across as being way too dark at times even for the outside moments and best viewed in dim or no lights on.
