I watched Dune yesterday and I loved it, I can see what you're saying about it being the start of a story but as it's only been split into two it's not as bad as LoTR. Also the book itself is quite neatly in 2 parts so I think it works great. I'm very much looking forward to part 2, it's going to be 2023 isn't it
