The Child. 1977.
A film I have never managed to watch all the way through and tonight I managed it with a little help from my friend Caffeine and managed to enjoy it a bit better than I thought.
Set in the middle of somewhere or nowhere a woman takes up a job as a nanny to a 11 year old Rosalie who has a secret, she is friends with the dead who look after her. This does seem a bit low budget but does has a doom and gloom atmosphere that blends in well with a 70s horror film. The first half is more slow character building then takes a turn and becomes a decent chiller, I feel bad that I have avoided this for a long time, yet it may not be for everyone's taste.
