Shallow Grave. 1994

Three flatmates discover their new flat mate is dead and find a suitcase full of money, they hatch a plan to dispose of the body and keep the money, only for other problems to arise.

Made on a low budget by Danny Boyle with Ewan McGregor in his first leading film role as journalist Alex with Christopher Eccleston as accountant David and Kerry Fox as nurse Juliette, who decide to come up with a dead body to disappear.

Right at the start we see how this trio are interviewing for new room mates and how suited they are for being unlikable with their questions and antics until Hugo played by Keith Allen comes along and accept him as a room mate. What makes it strange is how Alex who seems a bit whimpish comes up with a plan and David who becomes a voyeuristic maniac yet Juliette seems to want the money for herself. and goes off the rails a bit. Something of a dark comedy thriller that was enjoyable to watch every now and again.
