Well let's say this. Some of the choices of best film winners have been rather strange when you've seen what they have been up against. So has the thinking behind quite a few acting Oscars over the years. For example giving long serving actors an Oscar for lesser roles which are seen as more for a body of work than the actual film in question. Al Pacino and John Wayne instantly spring to mind.

So yes, i do think they aren't quite as legit as made out.

And i agree, Smith should not be stripped of his Oscar, that's just nonsense.
