Bands and artists have pretty much had two years off and zero touring so unless they just slobbed about they should have written dozens of new songs.
I've noticed several pop and rock artists are releasing albums frequently. Didn't Taylor Swift release two last year or the year before. The Tedeschi Trucks Band are releasing four this year. jack White has just released his second of the year. Machine Gun Kelly is another.
