They were really good and surprised me with how accomplished they still are, using the extensive and impressive back catalogue to good effect with a real crowdpleasing performance.

It was a brilliant set list, much more varied and wide-ranging than I expected. I was also pleasantly surprised by the range and power of Axl's vocals, impressing even with a dodgy audio feed, and the effortless way that Slash can play fairly complex riffs and solos.
Despite their relatively advanced ages, they can definitely rock a festival with consummate ease – I wish I was there to watch it in person.
