This whole season terrified me as a child. That nasty prawn thing, Leela's steaming, the glowing skull and best of all (although not the best story by any means) the greatest cliffhanger in all of classic Doctor Who, other than part three of Caves of Androzani, in part four of Invasion of Time.
Meanwhile Underworld was chilling all through with the scary masked guys. |
Weren't
Horror and
Image development leftovers from the previous producers - what's referred to as the Gothic period? I agree they were standouts, but I felt this was the season the Tom Baker years started to dip in quality. Still pretty good, but not the heights of the previous two seasons.
