You're right on both counts. After posting my thoughts on
Shadow of the Vampire, I saw that I had it on DVD, so looked for which Blu-ray release was best and was slightly shocked that there wasn't one in the UK.
It's a film with a relatively high profile cast and links to one of the most iconic expressionist films which is also a giant in the horror genre. As such, I'm also surprised a company like Arrow or 101 Films hasn't decided to acquire the rights for a high-definition release with a remastered picture, HD sound, and new extra features.
