Smallville goes down the vampiric path with female vampires running Lana's new high school sorority.
This is a fun homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The blonde haired lead vamp is called Buffy Sanders (Not Summers) and it features some knowing dialogue such as James Masters who played the vampire Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer telling Clark "There are no such thing as vampires, Clark" and Carrie Fisher's Daily Planet editor informing Chloe that "Tall tales about slaying Buffy the vampire do not a reporter make".
Probably not one of Smallville's best episodes but fun in that knowing way.
