I also missed out on the Grindhouse era (I was born 1976)

I was part of a small group we called "Violent Cinema" (now the name for our independent movie company) a couple of years ago, and we had a small digital theater in town where we each week showed a double feature from our own collections on VHS, LD and DVD.
Everything from "Metalstorm" to "Guinea Pig"
We got a lot of viewer every week, and it kept growing.
Sadly it fell after a while when the owner of the theater room sold it.

But there is still an old theater in town (the interior and outside has looked the same for at LEAST 30 years) that only show a few movies a year. Mostly art movies etc. And we have plans of renting the theater once or twice a month to show 35mm double features of old trashy flicks, as there are a couple of reels in circulation here in scandinavia of movies like, The Burning, House by the Cemetery etc. that we can borrow/rent. Full uncut prints!

EVERY town should have a Grindhouse theater
