Whilst it's a shame about the absurdity of the cut, I lie in the camp of extras, packaging, special features > 100% uncut barebones release.
There is a line, though. I would NEVER buy anything that was completely cut to ribbons, no matter how many extras and goodies it came with. A five second cat and mouse scene I can easily live without.
Any news on that fourth panel?
