I agree with Calum and Daemonia about Serbian, I've seen it because my curiosity got the better of me and the trailer made it look better than it actually was. Yes, it is fairly well made (filmed on an HD Red camera), the lead actor is good, but at the end what was the point of it? I'm all for something being shocking if it has either something to say (it doesn't, if you knew nothing about Serbia before, you will still know nothing come the end) or it's a bit of fun or tongue in cheek (SAW or Hostel)

I feel the director is doing this to gain attention and then head to Hollywood to make a remake of something that doesn't need to be remade!

A lot of the film makes no sense, like Milos supposedly needing money and his wife saying that they need to move when it seems they live in nice middle class surroundings

Plus Vukmir, the shady snuff master, leaves the tapes of what's been filmed just lying around, surely if you were doing something so taboo as snuff porn you'd put it under lock and key.

These are just a couple of points that negates the films supposed intelligence. It takes itself too seriously as well, has very little to actually say and you are really only waiting to see what the next gore setpiece is!

It paints a bad picture of Serbia too, which by all accounts is a beautiful country. The representaion here is as useless as the image "Hostel" depicts of Slovakia and that "Hannibal" depicts of the late nights street of Florence!

Just my 2 cents!
