The Chuck Norris Thread

As I sit here and listen to Alan Silvestri's (Very eighties) theme to DELTA FORCE,it occurred to me that the star of that film surely deserves a thread to himself.

Ladies and gentlemen,I give you Mr Chuck Norris!

Not quite as big as Arnie or Sly during the eighties,Chuck was more of a 'serious' action guy. With far less corny one liners and a less flambouyant dress sense,Norris was the 'thinking person's' action hero.

Ex karate champ and all round nice guy,you can read about Chuck's life here....

Quite an action resume eh?

I recently watched SILENT RAGE and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I frequently revisit Chuck's finest hours.You can't beat a Norris marathon on a Sunday.

It's a pity some large studio doesn't do a 'Chuck Norris' collection on DVD.
I'm sure the great man himself would be up for a commentary or two.
It'd be great to hear what he had to say about working in films with such legends as Bruce Lee,Lee Marvin and Louis Gossett Jnr.

Now around the seventy mark,it's a pity these action legends gotta get old eh?:(

I've not seen a lot of Chuck Norris, but I did enjoy Silent Rage. It's like Chuck Norris vs Michael Myers which is a bit odd. Also I remember that Quentin Tarantino and Edgar Wright talked about it at lenght on the US Hot Fuzz commentry.

I had a couple of Chuck Norris films and recently went on a spending spree and brought my total up to 15 of his films. Still a few more to get though.

Did you know that Death once had a Chuck Norris experience?

I do love the old action flicks though, is there a Chuck Norris Collection available?

There's a dutch collection available of some of his films, unfortunately the transfers and even the quality of the covers are horrendous.

Did I ever think I'd live to see the day I'd post in 'The Chuck Norris Thread'! My dad is actually the big Chuck Norris fan in the family. I've seen most of his classic early/mid 80's stuff but not for a long time. I'll have to do some borrowing when I get back but off the top of my head, Invasion USA for it's sheer ridiculousness and Eye For An Eye are probably two of the better ones.

I've had to watch this almost weekly on TV for the best part of two years though.

One of my favourite bad actors! His films are alsways entertaining! Eye is fantastic. But I recommend people watch HellBound for an hilarious semi-horror film!

Always entertaining,the Chuckster.

I've just ordered Breaker! Breaker! and SIDEKICKS-That just leaves me to get FIREWALKER.

Anyone any idea of the best version?
