Almar@Cult Labs 6th July 2009 05:58 PM

NossB 30th August 2009 12:37 PM

Maybe old news now but Fopp, the subdivision of HMV, have Arrow titles in stock.

Almar@Cult Labs 30th August 2009 04:33 PM

Didn't know that so thanks for the tip!

They seem to be all in the Horror Section now, though at first Macarbe was in the World Section.
Now the Horror and World are opposite ends of the shop, were as they used to be opposite each other.
Everythings moved to centre BluRay .

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 31st August 2009 07:13 PM

Macabre and HBTC were still in the world cinema section on Sunday at the Fort.

Pete 2nd September 2009 11:36 AM

HMV had loads of Shameless titles the other day. They stuck out like a sore thumb.

Almar@Cult Labs 2nd September 2009 11:37 AM

Yes SHAM001-018 are all on promo at HMV for £6 so they should have stock...

And any idea how they are selling? Do you find that they sell more when they are on promo like that?

Pete 2nd September 2009 11:40 AM

16- 18 were still 12.99. Strip Nude is £15.99!!!

Ahhhh so thats why some of the dvds and blu-rays I saw In Fopp had HMV stickers on them lol

Almar@Cult Labs 2nd September 2009 11:43 AM

Really? Why is this always so hard?:frusty:

Stephen@Cult Labs 2nd September 2009 11:46 AM

What happens when they are supposed to be on promo for £6 and they sell them for £13-£16? do you see more money or they keep that extra fat cash for themselves?

Almar@Cult Labs 2nd September 2009 11:47 AM

That would be theirs I'd imagine - I'll find out more about this promo - I never announced it because I was sceptical that it would happen.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 2nd September 2009 06:04 PM

Ah the joy of dealing with the big boys.Bloody nightmare sometimes eh?

NossB 2nd September 2009 06:32 PM

HMV have different prices on the same product throughout the store - The stuff what is on offer at the front of the store can be full price in the horror rack so be careful.

Paul 2nd September 2009 10:17 PM

Most Shameless titles are £4.99 on the HMV website.

Pete 3rd September 2009 10:53 AM

HMV have put The Designated Victim in the world cinema section.

mbv 3rd September 2009 10:59 AM

Wish the Irish branches of HMV would get their finger out and stock some

vipco 3rd September 2009 01:57 PM

They'll order them in for you if you ask them mbv.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 3rd September 2009 08:49 PM

Yes they will. And usually have it within 3-5 days. But you'll need to pay upfront.
For those who can't order online, give it a week or two,and you'll find Footprints sitting on their shelves.
I know that's no consolation when you've got the yellow-box-fever:laugh:

Perhaps another plus for selling them direct from here Almar?;)

Your HMV is better than mine. It took them two weeks to get my copy of The Devil Hunter.

bdc 4th September 2009 10:51 AM

Those promo's on their site are nice for UK residents.
But sadly HMV charges £ 2.50 for shipping within Europe (per item).

i went into the hmv in stoke on trent today and looked at the shameless films only 3 of them were £6 so i got hold of one of the staff and gathered up the other 15 films and got him to check the prices.

he took the dvds to the counter and checked them all and found out that they were ment to be £6 not £13 as they were priced so he changed them all.

he then asked me if i was buying them all and i told him no they are cheaper on the hmv website he looked so pissed off. :pound:

at least there not ripping people off now!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 4th September 2009 05:53 PM

Wow - well done sir - I'm impressed! And as for displays you have to pay stores to get them - in turn you then have to pay for that! When is Loops going to set up his shop and put this all right? :eyebrows:

Kyle 5th September 2009 05:35 PM

thanx  yeah im really looking forward to loops opening a shop, on the day of opening i shall be there with a wallet of cash!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 6th September 2009 10:48 AM

I was in Preston yesterday morning so I thought I'd have a quick look in HMV. While I was there I checked out how many MOG and Shameless titles they had.

MOG:

- 8 copies of Sleepless in the Horror section
- 1 copy of House in the World Cinema Section
- 2 copies of Macabre in the World Cinema Section

As for Shameless all they had were 1 copy of Flavia and Killer Nun at £6, and 1 copy of WSHD? at £13.

HMV had a dispaly of Shamelss titles, next to all the reduced stuff.

Almar@Cult Labs 6th September 2009 08:17 PM

Thanks for the intel Mr Eye! And yes... Shameless next to the reduced items - we're not classy!

Pete 6th September 2009 08:23 PM

As for stocking Shameless myself, well i havent heard anything from the distributors yet.

Almar@Cult Labs 6th September 2009 08:24 PM

Well if that continues do let me know later this week and I'll pass on the message - someone needs to stock these puppies!

Pete 6th September 2009 08:26 PM

Will do!

vipco 11th September 2009 02:45 PM

Got a lift to town today and a certair shop has move Macrbe back to World Cinema section, after a brief stint in Horror. £10.

All Shameless were £13.99 but very little choice and no Footprints in stock that I could see.
RatMan, WHTDTYD, Killer Nun , Frightened Woman.

Battle for Algeirs was instock for £15.

Went next door to Game, then had to hobble home as this damn foot still hurts.
