Oh Arrow. You're killing me here!!!

I've got the Blue Underground Special Edition dvd of this, and I have a rule not to double-dip (not enough space on my shelves and I think there should only be 1 'Best' version of any release) so I'll have to wait and see what extras this beauty has to offer...Great artwork again btw!!

That really is a great cover, well done Rick!

Haven't got the US Blu, only the DVD, so this will be a D1 purchase for moi!

The BU release of this is indeed very special! I should know - it was one of the first Blu Rays I ever bought.

Consequently, when it came to the extra features, we avoided treading over what they had already done (only Dario Argento features in both).

As such, both The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Cat O Nine Tails feature one of our favourite sit-down interviews ("part one" on Bird and "part two" on Cat) which we think will please any fan of classic giallo cinema! Hope you think it might be a truly "special" feature as Nick, Naomi and myself put a lot of love into Bird with the Crystal Plumage! :) I'll say no more as no doubt Almar will want to reveal the specs himself!

As an aside - this has to be Rick's best artwork to date.

Cat O Nine Tails too!!?? :woot:

I'll definitely be getting that as I have the Anchor Bay R1 dvd which is pretty old now. Can't beat an Argento buddy movie!

I'm just going to have to get rid of all my old versions of movies and get Arrow versions aren't I. It's the only way!

I'm very happy to support such dedication and all-out class when it comes to Arrow's dvd/BR releases AND the great cinema events that are organised by the team here too. It's a no-brainer. Makes me proud to be British! Keep it up Arrow and Cult Labs!!

Bird and Cat...must buys... :woot:
I have the BU bd of Bird but that won't stop me from getting the Arrow one!
Sounds like there will be some great extra features.

I think this is my favourite piece of cover artwork to date to be honest, gorgeous stuff. I'm in the process of making the transition to Blu-ray and so all the recent and forthcoming Argento releases are coming at a convenient time for me.

I'm reluctant to move to Bluray as it would mean once I'd switched over I'd obsessive/compulsively need to upgrade every dvd I owned. I wouldn't be happy watching a standard dvd if a BR was available and I don't have the cash to cope!! Also I have a nice Sony 1080p upscaler dvd recorder that I couldn't part with (not yet anyway). No space for two players in the living room. The wife would have a fit.

Now that's what I call a tangent!! I'm gonna buy this, Deep Red, Demons, Inferno and most probably TBWTCP too!

Haha yeah. It's been a gradual process of conversion for me - it started with getting a 40inch 1080p tv and then noticing that dvd's just didn't look quite as good. Then a friend hooked his Blu-ray player up to the tv, the dvds looked fantastic upscaled (we actually watched Arrow's recent release of Inferno as a test) and the blu-ray films looked even better. I wouldn't buy everything again but I'm a bit of an Argento nut and all the dvds of his movies I have I only paied a few pounds for so I don't reallt mind making the upgrade. Oddly enough, Arrow's releases have been quite instrumental in persuading me as a lot of their blu-ray releases are of films I've seen but have been in the process of wanting to buy to watch again (Battle Royale, Bay of Blood, Dawn and Day of the Dead etc)

Really liking the artwork for this. It's classy and sleazy at the same time.

Loving the artwork. I always love it when you see the image and can instantly associate it with the movie. Really looking forward to the Blu.
