The Beyond – The Artwork Panels
 

In the spirit of consistency, I'll do this numerically so, it's Thursday and that means artwork panel #1 as a recap for those of you who have forgotten what it looks like and as a pleasant surprise for those of you who have already missed the announcement.

Very cool! Do you have a lot of horror themed T-shirts? I reckon Arrow could learn a thing or two about old film artwork from some people on this forum.

I have a Torso shirt - which I'm sporting in my pic in the 'Get To Know Your Fellow Cultists' thread, plus the aforementioned Beyond, Anthropophagous, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, and Cannibal Holocaust.

I love some of the old poster art, and will end up getting more T-Shirts at some point no doubt! :D

I've said it once but i'll say it again, Rick's artwork is just phenomenal. May be the best modern artwork for a film I've ever seen.

This is by far Ricks best artwork for Arrow. I would gladly wear that on a t-shirt. Amazing:clap:

Definately. I'd even take it with www.cult-labs on the back. Do a little advertising while I'm looking uber stylish!

Me too, but it would have to compete with several others, including Phenomena, Street Trash, Dawn of the Dead and Stendhal Syndrome. Actually, I don't think there are many that wouldn't look good on a T-shirt!

I think it's about time for another display panel, don't you? Again, we're straying into foreign waters, this time to the Far East; more specifically Thailand.

Not too crazy about panel 2, but 1 & 3 are great. I agree that this is Rick's best (so far)!
Wonder what panel 4 will be? "7 Doors of death" perhaps..? :tongue1:

I'm also in agreement Rick's panel being one of his best to date - captures the style and mood of the film perfectly.

For me that is an essential choice.

Best choice of panels so far than on any of the Arrow releases, IMO.

There is still one more to come on Monday, so this selection can only improve!

i like panel 1 and 3 but panel 2 is a bit cack. hopefully panel 4 is a german poster:pray:

Too true and the Thai design isn't too bad either.

Rick's contribution is certainly decent but lacking variety imo and here's hoping panel 4 will be another winning illustration.:)

Well, my favorite didn't make it, but I'm still satisfied with the choices!

For me this is the best selection of artwork yet for an Arrow release, as I love every panel. I might have to get 4 copies just so I can show them all off! :lol:

Another excellent choice. I never got my favourite either, but what we did get is just as good.

Looks fantastic Nos. Another title that will fly off the shelves hopefully.

Given the excellent artwork and the high esteem in which The Beyond is held, I suspect that it will sell extremely well.

Not just in the UK either.

Nice job on posting the exploded packshots too, Nos. Seeing it all laid out makes me want it even more!

As the Blu-ray is Region All (ABC) and the DVD is Region 0, this should be an attractive purchase for fans of Lucio Fulci's work (and horror in general) all over the world.

Laid out with all the cover showing and the poster and booklet on view makes it look even better but you'd need to buy four copies to be off to replicate that! Tempting, isn't it?!

I "feared" that those artwork choices for The Beyond would win. ;) Well, I had three other obvious favorites (just as with Deep Red). :D

The BBFC A to Z Nasties page has The Beyond by ARROW with the most terrible green monster artwork , not any of those shown here.
Thank goodness thats not the actual art.

Maybe someone from Arrow saw the same thing and also hated the artwork!
