OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ARROW VIDEO'S RELEASE OF
FANTASTIC FACTORY PRESENTS…
RELEASED ON DVD ON 18TH APRIL, 2011

A BLOODY FEAST OF ZOMBIES, DEMONS, SPIDERS & WEREWOLVES!

Step into the Fantastic Factory for a festival of gory mayhem and blood-splattered horror. Four twisted tales of terror and carnage await you...

In Beyond Re-Animator, the evil Dr. Herbert West, a medical genius with an overwhelming drive to raise the dead, returns to what he knows best: science...and murder.

John Jaspers is driven to insanity in Faust and signs a pact with the devil in order to enact a horrible vengeance on the thugs who murdered his girlfriend. Transformed into a sickening beast, he stalks the night seeking only to maim and kill.

Alien spiders threaten the very existence of man in Arachnid, only a team of scientists and mercenaries stand in the way of eight-legged doom for humanity. Trapped on an island with a nest of hungry enemies, time is running out before the eggs were laid in every last one of them...

A traveller with a girl in every village leaves a trail of murder behind him but is he the killer or is there a beast stalking the night? Romasanta, based on a true life murder case, is a chilling tale of bloody romance, shadowy forests and Werewolves.

Dare you enter?

wtf! That came out of the blue did it not? That'll be my 3rd version of Beyond Re-Animator.

9 artworks. Can't wait to see how this is achieved.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 01:05 PM

There's nothing like a well-kept secret, is there? In addition, all the artwork panels will be revealed next week so stay tuned!

Stephen@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 01:43 PM

I'm assuming it will be the unrated cut of Beyond Re-Animator, like the spanish/UK version, and not the R-Rated US print.

Sam@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 01:44 PM

Romasanta is excellent. Love that one.

P-Mac 18th February 2011 01:47 PM

This sounds awesome!!!

Hammer time 18th February 2011 01:59 PM

Why no Dagon? its my favorite film they produced, seems weird its missing

the blob 18th February 2011 02:34 PM

Bolt from the blue. I'll be having one of these sometime. :)

News: Arrow Video Preps FANTASTIC FACTORY PRESENTS For April

Stephen@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 04:00 PM

Some great extras there. Actually looking forward to seeing Arachnid. Even being terrified of spiders! Just had a look on IMDB and realised that i've already seen it. Not a particularly good film and yet, I still want to see it again.

pedromonkey 18th February 2011 04:11 PM

looks like someone bought up Mosaic's back catalog, im guessing that with these releases arrow are doing something special. Loved Beyond Re-animator and Faust but not seen the others yet so will be adding this to my collection

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 05:04 PM

Looks funky - nice artwork too.

I'm also hoping for the unrated cut of Beyond Re-Animator...

It should hopefully be. If it's from the Mosaic library, that was the unrated version as well.

robertzombie 18th February 2011 05:51 PM

Will the set contain 1 film per disc? (ie 4 discs?)

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 18th February 2011 06:47 PM

Looking good!

springjack 18th February 2011 07:07 PM

Not the best movies by far from Fantastic Factory.

Still, coming from Arrow I think I would be a cool adition to my collection.

That is my understanding, yes. The box set will contain four different cases, one for each film.

Well that also answers my question on how they'll manage all those artwork panels!

Maybe we´re talking a box like Battle Royale with four cases inside.

Sad that Dagon or Rottweiler are not being included.
In my opinion better movies than Romasanta and Arachnid, but that´s just me.

I'd prefer 4 amaray cases myself.

Ah right, I thought you meant cases like the ones in the Battle Royale box. :)

Phats 19th February 2011 12:55 AM

I shall be getting this because I'm a massive fan of the Re-Animator series and have yet to see the other movies included in this package. Great stuff!

Zombie Dude 19th February 2011 05:13 AM

Who will be doing the art for these?

Thanks. I just wasn't sure if the artwork on each film would be by the same person who did the box cover.

Not exactly as Battle Royale don´t have "cases"...

Me too...

I have a doubt...

There´s 9 cover choices and there´s 4 movies, then one cover has to be permanent because I believe if there was a choice for a cover then it should be a pair number, right?

From what is written, 4 movies will have reversible artwork making it 8 cover choices.
The one that´s left I believe is one that´s showned int the first post for the box so you shouldn´t call this one "optional".

Yea, I imagine that each film will get an illustrated cover and a reverse sleeve with the original cover art; and then like you said, the picture on the box will be counted as a cover.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 19th February 2011 01:03 PM

In answer to the above questions and using the limited knowledge of the situation I have, as far as I'm aware, the box set contains four Amaray cases, each with a reversible sleeve, with the artwork on the box itself counted as the ninth piece of artwork.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 19th February 2011 04:50 PM

Now that's very welcome news!

Zombie Dude 19th February 2011 10:48 PM

Any idea how much this set will cost and if the films will be uncut?

I'm mainly interested in Beyond Re-Animator. I've seen Faust before and thought it was a terrible film. The others I've never seen though.

Sarah@Cult Labs 20th February 2011 10:29 AM

I've not got round to seeing any of these films yet so I'm massively looking forward to this set!

Going from the Arrows Films website, the RRP will be £49.99 but I imagine it will sell for a lot less. As for whether the films are cut or uncut, I don't have that information but will hopefully have it for you sometime next week.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping it will sell for a lot less as I won't be able to afford it at that price.

Here's hoping they're all uncut

If that would be the veredict, then someone should change the first post to 8 option reversible sleeves because one will not be optional.

Can´t afford one at that price too.
Hoping it will be around 25£/30£.

I still haven´t bought the Lone Wolf And Cub box because of it´s price and we´re talking 7 movies.

As far as I'm aware, these films will only be released on DVD. I'm not sure exactly why but I would hazard a guess that the source material isn't good enough for high def and demand isn't high enough for the expense to warrant the HD remastering process.
