SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

Finding a girl when you’re a nerdy science geek can be hard. But what happens if that special someone dies in a bizarre gardening accident and it’s all your fault?

Meet Jeffrey Franken. He’s just killed the love of his life and now he’s going to rebuild her... From the body parts of the dead streetwalkers who exploded when he introduced them to a lethal new drug – Supercrack! Little does he know that a good recipe requires the correct ingredients. Jeffrey isn’t putting his life back together; he’s building... a FRANKENHOOKER!

From the twisted imagination of Frank Henenlotter (Basketcase) and starring James Lorinz (Street Trash), comes a movie that pays a loving tribute to the worst excesses of the American Grindhouse.

And here's that great original trailer...

Nice artwork, but who writes those taglines? A tale of Sluts and Bolts? Bit sexist, isn't it? I had hoped horror had moved on a bit by now, this just reinforces the notion that horror fans are weird and a little bit misogynistic. No, I'm not a prude, I just think restraint can sometimes be as effective as gratuitousness. It kind of gives credence to the idea that horror is a 'man only' domain. Strange, nerdy, virginal men, at that.

Aren't they all dead hookers? It's not like they're virginal co-eds! I kinda get your point, but it would better aimed at the shocking Shameless taglines rather than Frankenhooker!

And PS, I knew it!

Nice art work from Graham Humpries, actually reminds me of the great Drew Struzan though.

Could be just me.:)

That is the original tagline from when the film first came out.

Yep.

Plus, the forthcoming Synapse BD has the tagline on the cover too.

Now that's an awesome cover, definately my favorite out of all Arrow covers so far. This is going at the top of my Christmas list.... Unless I can't wait and order it for myself first. I haven't seen this since I owned the VHS.
