I don't think I've read any of the books either, but I have listened to Stephen Fry reading most of them (a superb way to use an Audible credit), and they are masterful pieces of detective fiction.

I've got the audio book as well , should have a listen to it at some point, as I can see Stephen doing a amazing job.

His delivery is exceptional, and his introductions are interesting personal reflections on the stories, characters, and Doyle.

A little light reading

I'm not a religious person at all, but I am very intrigued about Satanism I have to admit. It's not exactly about 'devil worship' but more about nonconformity and making the best out of your situation.

Try Stephen E Flowers LORDS OF THE LEFT HAND PATH for an insider's view of CoS and it's more magical off shoot The Temple of Set. It is a fantastic book and really lays out the whole Left Hand approach very well.
