Just ordered. Thanks for posting, Rob. I'd forgotten about it even though i was the one who initially posted about the second edition a couple of months ago.

Wordery are selling it for £12.53 delivered via Amazon so it was a no brainer.

Classic Kurt Vonnegut!

I'm currently just over a hundred pages into The Shining. I thought around pages 20-60 it became very stodgy - just a kid wittering about divorce all the time,- but as soon as they set off to the Overlook it basically became brilliant. King describes the hotel wonderfully and it stays in your imagination.

It's nice to see people buying physical books. Although i have a Kindle and take it on holiday with me i'd never choose to read it over an actual book.

I'm the same, i prefer a real book. I read on the bus though as well, and coffee in one hand and kindle in the other means I can turn the pages without putting my drink down  I've become addicted to audiobooks though. I'm currently "reading" Lethal White, the new 'Robert Galbraith' book which everyone knows is actually JK Rowling :)

The thing with audio books with me is i tend to start doing other things like read a magazine or something, so i usually lose track of the story. I find it difficult to just sit there and listen. With a cd i usually browse the lyric booklets, stuff like that. I suppose if you are on a mode of transport that's different, but at home, no. :skull:

I agree, unless I'm lying in bed on Saturday morning just relaxing, I can't do audiobooks at home, but on the bus or a train, or in the car they are ideal as you can't go anywhere!
