This should really be in the cinema memories thread but on the subject of WEIRD SCIENCE, when I saw it on it's cinema release the queue was around the block. Word got around that the screen was sold out. Then a cinema worker came down the line asking if anyone was by themselves. I was, so that was how I got in. The last seat in the screen. Result. |

If it's the Shout! Factory release, it has three commentary tracks compared to the one on the UK release and some other exclusive extra features. Rewind @ www.dvdcompare.net - Quatermass And The Pit AKA Five Million Years To Earth AKA The Mind Benders (Blu-ray) (1967) |
^ That's right. Also I'm loving and prefer the original poster art on the covers. |

1 Attachment(s) Speaking of Quatermass. Is the original BBC series worth getting? I understand that the first series is incomplete but series two and three are all there. |

3 Attachment(s) Got these on order from 88 films |
After a strangely long delay got my limited edition Asylum blu-ray delivered today. |
Purchased & watched Us by Jordan Peele. Very original, although horror fans will see echoes of the classics. On a random note, why does every new film come with a slipcover? Getting pointless now, lol! |

I do like a nice dvd slipcover but i'm not interested in a Peele / Blum film. |

Pretentious film directors I have no problem with. Pretentious critics now .... ;) |
4 Attachment(s) This weeks new arrivals. Vinyl and The Deuce were both from Sainsburys, the rest from Music Magpie. I think this is the third time i've bought both The Dark Half and Graveyard Disturbance. I won't get rid of them again. I've never seen Arachnophobia. |

I do find the stories featuring female villains are less reliant on OTT action sequences than their male counterparts. |
