Yes I did, but I understood it that Amazon had sent your order a long time before the actual release date

For some reason, I thought it was actually released on April 13th!

Thank you.

I saw it on release at the cinema, and also had it on ex-rental vhs.

I know it's a deeply flawed film but i quite like it despite all it's faults.

Not a film i was a fan of I prefer the original Burt Lancaster version even that had a few flaws in it, but you can't beat Marlon Brando though in his own style of acting.

Yeah, i too think the Lancaster version is superior but it must be nigh on 20 years at least since i last saw Frankenheimer's film.

Of the three, the original Island of Lost Souls is by far the best.

Does Villain just have the BBFC cert on it? One pic on Amazon shows it with the Irish ones as well.

I haven't seen it in a few years but from what i remember it is more of a psychological base under siege film beset by masses of small ants, with a strong 70's vibe and some cool art direction, rather than a fighting giant ants monster movie.

Having said that i liked it.

It sure is. If you want to watch tons of stock footage of ants underground.

I might give it another go. Now i know what it's like. I only watched it once several years ago and thought it a huge disappointment.

Glad I waited. Six Gothic Tales is £24.99 now. So dropped the hammer on it. It's a tad cheaper at HMV but they were out of stock last night.
