Watched it on Sky late one night, and although it finished pretty late, I had to watch the original right there and then just to wash out my mind of the rubbish of the remake.

A similar thing happened when I watched Fright Night remake too. I wonder if I should even bother with The Thing prequel.

Ha ha, each to their own I guess. The Thing prequel is actually pretty good, the CGI ruins it a bit but overall its a decent enough film, obviously not a patch on Carpenters version.

No.

But the seller is expected to ship in the next day or two or action is taken by Amazon.

Rik 13th April 2012 01:00 PM

If everybody gets what they ordered then I think we all owe Bringer of Funerals a pint for spotting it!

I've just worked out that if I ordered everything from the cheapest sellers on Amazon my order would be £112.78, I paid £13.97 so that's a total saving of £98.81.

Compared to the nightmare on elm street remake the thing prequel is actually pretty good.

Then again, compared to the nightmare on elm street remake most things are actually pretty good.

My savings on the MST3K box sets alone is over £300, so it's probably around the £750 mark in total. If this comes off, I'm going to drive to Bringer of Funerals' house and give him a big kiss.

i'm a csr, but doing a lot of AM duties, the store losts its am a few years back and never bothered to replace them. Hence low contract but lots of responibility and overtime.

lucky you! I would take the position in a heart-beat if it came up, an actual salary would be lovely, more hours (so less time for movies) but I'm betting the extra cash would make my collection explode (and i'm already considering a bigger house to store the ones I have) god knows what would happen if I ever won the lottery.

keirarts 13th April 2012 05:18 PM

My mate adam just dropped by and flogged me giallo for two quid. Hell its worth it for completists sake but I may give it another try and see if my first impressions of the movie were horribly wrong. (I doubt it, but what the hell)

I haven't seen the Fright Night remake – it was one of those BDs I ordered from supermarket_USA for £1.27 (including postage), so that might be the best way to watch it for the first time.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 13th April 2012 06:43 PM

I tried to watch Fright Night remake three times.Twice fell asleep and once WTF is Farrell all about?
Sold it.

ANOES-I'll give it another whirl.

I detest remakes, but THE THING is pretty good!

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 13th April 2012 06:44 PM

… and suddenly my inbox is full of 'Your Amazon Marketplace Order Has Been Cancelled' e-mails!

Demdike@Cult Labs 13th April 2012 06:46 PM

Mine too.

Ah well, never mind.

Rik 13th April 2012 06:52 PM

And mine, knew it was too good to be true. That's twice I've had orders cancelled from them so they aren't getting my money ever again.
Oh well, I didn't really want those 11 BU DVDs anyway ;)

the blob 13th April 2012 06:53 PM

Mine too, as expected! booooooooooo!

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 13th April 2012 06:54 PM

Well, I don't need to worry about watching that Fright Night remake BD as all my orders with supermarket_usa have been cancelled. Maybe when it appears on Sky Movies…

I've used All Your Music a few times and never had the slightest of problems with them
I've noticed that my order has totally vanished so I can't even leave negative feedback.:mmph: At least it didn't turn into another HME fiasco where we all paid and received nothing :)

It was always safe in that respect.:)

It's a shame that the orders disappear from one's account - I would have loved to give them the lowest rating ever for fooling customers! :mad2:

Greetings!

BAKA 13th April 2012 07:06 PM

I think I'm going to try ordering a few things from All Your Music over Amazon, as Axel still feels more expensive than it used to be. Even adding in P&P at All Your Music they still seem cheaper on a lot of titles I want before adding in P&P from Axel. Don't Open Till Christmas for example, £10.38 delivered at All Your Music, £12.52 at Axel before delivery. I hope they're as reliable. I suspect I may still have to rely on Axel for titles I'm pre-ordering / eagerly awaiting for their speed though.
