Have you also seen the rather good Korean films Natural City and 2009: Lost Memories?

Surprised they didn't make your top 50, unless of course you haven't seen them.

I think you'll enjoy them both.

Natural City has a Blade Runner feel with it's visuals, although that's a bit of a lazy reference, i think you'll understand when/if you come to watch it.

In no particular order, this is my top 10:

A Clockwork Orange
The French Connection
Harold and Maude
The Last Picture Show
Walkabout
Klute
Straw Dogs
The Devils
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
Get Carter

Honourable mentions:

The Omega Man
Lizard in a Woman's Skin
A Fistful of Dynamite
The Go-Between
The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh
Play Misty for Me
Punishment Park
And Now for Something Completely Different

Sounds good – in terms of watching it, it'll definitely be a case of when rather than if.

You're very welcome!

It's an oddity for me because I only became aware of it when it was on the syllabus for a film noir module I did at university. Rather than becoming completely sick of it because it was compulsory viewing and something I studied in depth, I loved it the first time and found it improved with repeated watching and discussion/examination.
