Mr Nice Guy. 1997.

T.V. chef Jackie gets involved with a journalist who filmed a drug deal gone wrong between a gang and a crime lord.

After the first 10-15 minutes we get straight into the action and comedy with Jackie Chan who helps reporter Gabrielle Fitzpatrick escape the bad guys while holding onto a video tape. Sammo Hung teams up with Jackie as director and also teams up again with Richard Norton who plays the clean freak gangster Giancarlo. This does have the good comedy elements they all bring to the scream as well good choreographed fight scenes, but does tend to go OTT towards the end with explosions that seem to never end.

Cannibal Holocaust. 1980.

4 students disappear while making a documentary on cannibalistic tribe and a professor goes in search for them.

One of the best, goriest and violent films ever to grace our screens and one that's more memorable due to the scenes in the film, with rape, beatings and animal cruelty portrayed in the film. Luckily enough Angie didn't see the killing of the animals but she did see everything else, in her words this was a pornographic horror that had it's moments of being upsetting yet she couldn't take her eyes from it as she wanted to see how it ended. Angie has never been daft on the Shameless release movie but I think she liked this one.

Probably still my favourite here a group of teenagers the last children of elm street are all institutionalised because of sleep disorders and soon they start dying but luckily a certain someone turns up of knowledge of who is killing them off. The whole dream wizards scene always has me in stitches , was it's supposed to be so funny!

Have never been keen on this one but found myself enjoying it this time , Freddy is back and the survivors from the last movie are soon hunted down and killed leaving their friends as new victims but could a young woman who has dream powers be a match for Freddy?

Now watching which will be first viewing.

Think we're on the same wavelength regarding The Nightmare on Elm Street Movies.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Should have stuck with my initial instincts regarding this Movie but kudos to Marvel, they have managed to get me to watch Films that I have no interest in just in case someone shows up or something that may come up in future Marvel Movies may get a mention.

Luckily all I wasted was my time.

Northman

Disappointing Movie regarding a Viking's revenge for the murder of his Father. Instead of a blood fest with lots of chopping off of body parts, I got a Arthouse style borefest.

Firestarter

The remake starring Zac Efron (Who I had no idea was in this, not even mentioned on the poster) 20 minutes shorter than the original, it's kinda hit and miss, wasn't boring but not as good as I was hoping for. At least there were some changes from the original, which I appreciate.

I felt the same about Dr Strange & The Northman so I’m glad I’m not alone because most people seem to have loved them both haha. Was going to see Firestarter in the next few days, not expecting much but it has a John Carpenter soundtrack!!

Also, I might be alone in this but I think I like Elm Street 4 better than part 3…

Jug Face (2013)

A young girl in an old backwoods community ends up pregnant with her brothers child and discovers she is to be sacrificed to a creature in a pit out in the woods.

A slow burner of a folk horror film that i really enjoy. The central premise of ancient custom and folklore is nicely explored and the idea that when a face is created on a clay jug then that person should be sacrificed to an ancient creature is quite Lovecraftian in it's execution.

The film is clearly low budget yet is so small scale you don't really notice. Larry Fessenden, the director of Wendigo and The Last Winter is one of the actors here, but due to the thick atmosphere and ambiance you'd swear he also directed it too. The film boasts strong performances all round giving the whole thing a very believable air which all culminates in an original and interesting horror movie.

The Arrow Blu-ray is very nice and features in the Dementer limited edition set.

The two survivors from the last film are together and happy but that doesn't last long as Freddy is back and now is trying to come back in the real world by possession the survivors child. Some interesting ideas if poorly executed, every other time I've seen it thought it was awful but wasn't this bad this time still the weakest of the 5 I've watched.

I loved this why did it take so long to see this, a group of medical students and their professor (Roddy McDowall) play some type of live action role-playing game but they don't know a baboon called Shakma that has been experiment on and believed to be dead goes on murderous rage filled killing spree!

The main characters girlfriend was such a bitch I clapped with glee as she was killed, the acting was decent but the baboon running around with his big red arse was the best actor in the movie and that includes Roddy. A lot of fun that baboon should of got an Oscar.

Now watching which not seen before.
