2 Attachment(s) Always liked these from classic 'Doctor Who', shame they only appeared in one T.V story.:( Attachment 118410 Attachment 118411 |
14 Attachment(s) Some of the monsters that scared me from Doctor Who. The Krynoid from The Seeds of Doom The serving robots from The Robots of Death The Jagaroth from City of Death The Destroyer from Battlefield* The marshmen from Full Circle The Wirrn from The Ark in Space The Fendahleen from Image of the Fendahl The human Vervoid from Terror of the Vervoids Morbius from The Brain of Morbius Mr. Sin from The Talons of Weng-Chiang The Zygons from Terror of the Zygons The Silurians from Warriors of the Deep / The Silurians The Sea Devils from The Sea Devils The Malus from The Awakening. *I was too old to find the Destroyer scary but it was a very well designed monster from the final series of classic Who. |
1 Attachment(s) Whilst it wasn't a monster story i found The Masque of Mandragora very unsettling at the time. A story together with Image of the Fendahl and The Stones of Blood which probably gave me my love of all things Gothic, and Occulty. |

So, it looks like Doctor Who is responsible for promoting interest in the occult amongst at least two people... imagine if the Daily Mail got hold of that! ;) |

I agree with you though, whilst not remotely bloody the majority of seventies Doctor Who, the Baker years in particular, was scary for those lucky enough to be in the 6 - 13 age range. Some of the scenarios stayed with me for a long long time and began my interest in horror. |
I can't believe no-one has mentioned Pumpkinhead! http://cdn.fearnet.com/sites/default...umpkinhead.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...PUMP1988_1.jpg http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...umpkinhead.jpg |
