I think it is fair to say most are never as good as the original, with those which are equal or better in rarefied company.

I agree with you, Norwegian movie Troll Hunter was to be remade but was not to be which I think it was a good thing to not remake it.

It would be almost impossible for Troll Hunter to have a remake which lives up to or surpasses the original, so I'm glad it's not (at the moment, at least) happening.
