I have alot of Fulci stuff which I enjoy except for 1 film. City of the Living Dead. ( No offense MOJO mate )
I cant put my finger on what I dont like about it but I just dont like it.
All my other Fulci films would get repeated viewings, but COTLD got 2 viewings and thats it consigned to the shelf for good.
It only got a 2nd viewing to confirm my 1st opinon.

Favourite 3 Fulci has to be ZFE. NY Ripper, and HBTC, though I have a soft spot for Cat in the Brain and the partly Fulci directed ZFW 2.

My favorite Fulci are Beatrice Cenci (Why is it not in the list?) and A Lizard in a Woman's Skin.

Beatrice Cenci is Fulci's highlight as a "classic" movie director. It's beautifully directed. It was Fulci's favorite movie.

It was made in 1969.

During the shooting his wife committed suicide. It changed radically his way of seeing humanity and art... From there on, his movies would be poems about death, decay and solitude...

Try to see it. It's a lost treasure!

I just got "Beatrice Cenci", which I never saw befre, waiting on my "To Watch" pile before I'll answer that one...which should be very soon....:o

Otherwise, it would be "Don't Torture a Duckling", followed closely by "The Beyond"....

Hard to choose one.City Of The Living Dead was the first Fulci I saw albeit the slightly trimmed (Drill murder) Interlight video,so I have a soft spot for that one. However The Beyond is my favorite due to its atmosphere, cracking music and juicy gore.Zombie Flesh Eaters also rates highly with me for some effective moments including the splinter scene & the awesome Shark vs Zombie encounter.Contraband is also pretty good with its outrageously splattery bullet hits.I have the Troma release of New Gladiators and despite previously enjoying it when I watched the Medusa video,I found it very dull now, compared to the likes of Endgame,The New Barbarians & the Bronx Warrior films.

Zombie Flesh Eaters - it's such a unique work and kick-started a whole new cycle of Italian horror. I have a soft spot for it, what with it being a former nasty and all that. So yes, that's my favourite of all Fulci's output.
