Been listening to Paranormal tonight. Absolutely superb, this is Alice at his very best. The bonus live CD is fantastic. 10/10 from me.

You've let me down Susan, I was fishing for a bite

For what it's worth, I quite like what I've heard of the album so far, despite not being much of a fan TBH

Paranormal is heading for the #3 chart position according to the Official Album Charts at the weeks half way stage.

If it does end up at #3 only Billion Dollar Babies (1) and Trash (2) will have ever rated higher.

We'll find out tomorrow if it stays this way. Fingers crossed.

I've listened to the album 4 or 5 times since it came out, I really like. I'm still not a huge fan of the 2 non-live bonus tracks but the rest is great.

Ended up at #6.

Still it's a marked improvement on anything since 94's The Last Temptation.

Alice played his headline set at Wacken Festival yesterday (August 5th). The 75 min show didn't include 'Lost In America', 'Pain' or 'Billion Dollar Babies'. Nor, to the disappointment of many fans, was the much touted 'Roses on White Lace' played. The concert finished with a cover of 'Ace Of Spades', although this featured bassist Chuck Garric on vocals instead of Alice

Setlist:

Intro: Spend the Night
Brutal Planet
No More Mr. Nice Guy
Under My Wheels
The World Needs Guts
Woman of Mass Distraction
Guitar Solo (Nita Strauss)
Poison
Halo of Flies
Feed My Frankenstein
Cold Ethyl
Only Women Bleed
Paranoiac Personality
Ballad of Dwight Fry
Killer (excerpt)
I Love the Dead
I'm Eighteen
School's Out
Ace of Spades
