Your Vinyl Collection HAPPY RECORD STORE DAY! A day when we can celebrate the mighty vinyl in all it's glory. http://media.giphy.com/media/4LnH3Od7HcGzK/giphy.gif So, do you still collect vinyls? If so, here's a thread to show off your collection! Post a photo below and show how awesome you are. If you've bought a new record for your collection, pop it below too and show what the last vinyl you bought was. |
I'll post some pictures later on bug my vinyl collection is in the very early stages I had to restart my collection again awhile back after loosing a big chunk of my collection. |
Is there going to be released any cool vinyls today, that us cult film fans should be aware of? |
I will post a picture later of my tiny collection. I had to get rid of my main collection due to space or lack of it. I just wish I still had a record player to play them on.:( |
A link to my collection is in my forum signature, however I've also posted some pics of various bits of it here: https://www.cult-labs.com/forums/mus...tml#post402491 due to most of my vinyl collection being soundtrack related. |

Record Store Day UK Went into Bristol today and was very impressed with the turnout and releases,Head in The Galleries had loads of stuff and was busy, plenty of Death waltz releases and loads more, just like the good old days,Rise in Clifton again really busy and loads of stuff, and that was before lunch so imagine its getting very busy now,so a good day. |
I used to be the manager of a record shop, back in the late 80's One week, due to a 'mistake' when making the order, we ended up with 1000 copies of the latest Rick Ashley single (remember him?) As a result, he had a special offer - a free Rick Ashley single with every purchase! "Here's your Motorhead album, and don't forget your free Rick Ashley single" "Here's your Beethoven recording, and don't forget your free Rick Ashley single" "Here's your Rick Ashley single, and don't forget your free Rick Ashley single"! |

It's either a simple spelling error or a basic lack of musical knowledge. :read: ;) |

I have a confession to make, I had hundreds of Vinyl records collected over many years and in particular The Beatles, I travelled all over the country picking up rarities and even visiting Abbey Road Studios back in the day for a chance in a life time opportunity. Most of the rest of my collection was made up from rock in particular Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Rush, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Mott The Hoople, UFO, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Budgie, Cream, and many many more...........I sold everything at a car boot apart from my Beatles stuff which was purchased by an collector from the London area..........big fecking mistake.:crying: |

My collection is tucked away due to being back at my parents. I still pick up vinyl, have today but only random stuff from a vintage emporium (a couple of Edward Woodward albums) - the only record shop I went into today was run by an arse that shouted at my friend. I'll not be giving up my vinyl, I'd like to give it an airing some time soon and get my record nerd list up to speed. I've missed out on some great Record Store day releases, maybe it's time I move close to a decent record shop. |

All I know is we gave his record away! |
This is rather amusing: snopes.com: Bar Code Confusion - Retailers mistakenly scanned the wrong side of a CD bearing bar code-themed cover art, resulting in lower prices for customers |
3 Attachment(s) Bought these back in the late 80's. I did read somewhere that there was a fourth disc but could never find it. Attachment 161603 Attachment 161604 Attachment 161605 |
