REM was a tough subject for me. Being one of my favourite bands with some truly high quality songs. However they are also two different bands. One a college radio band on the IRS label and the other a mega act on the Warner Bros label. The above is my Warner years top 10.

That was a hard top ten for me to do, as I had to let go of more than a few tracks.

*Down on the Farm is a superb cover version, i've seen them play it live and much like Knockin' on Heavens Door and Live and Let Die feel it has been adopted as one of their songs.

Another of my faves by them is the cover of the Rolling Stones Sympathy for the Devil. However as i've not heard them play it live and it being only on a soundtrack album (and single) i haven't included it.
