Thankfully, the only two songs by them I have to listen to and learn at the minute are Detroit Rock City (that I’ve always liked anyway) and I Was Made For Loving You (that I’ve always hated), my new band mate (the rocking Vicar) is a big fan so he’s picked those two, I have t decided which songs I want us to learn yet other than Kayleigh by Marillion

You should turn up to practice next week and be like "So there is this song called 'Empire of the Clouds' ..."

I know he absolutely despised Nirvana and any form of Grunge music, so I might have to suggest some early Nirvana stuff

Good thinking, he can’t complain because it’s not a Nirvana song

Iron Maiden launch new Light Brigade beer supporting Help For Heroes | Planet Rock

"Iron Maiden have joined forces with Help For Heroes and Robinsons Brewery to launch a new beer called Light Brigade.

The 4.1% ABV golden English ale will support Help For Heroes, which provides recovery and support for armed service personnel whose lives have been impacted by their service.

6p from every pint and 5p from every bottle of Light Brigade sold will go directly the charity, helping thousands of servicemen and women who live with physical and mental injuries."

Me neither, they never have it in my local Morrisons, just the regular Trooper

That's three of us then.

Hopefully they'll stock this as the idea of buying beer and helping heroes is a good one.

Yeah, Help For Heroes is a popular charity round here, always happy to do my bit where they’re concerned

We pretty much knew it was coming, but this is effectively confirmation:

"It's been a little over two years since Rush last toured. We have no plans to tour or record any more. We're basically done. After 41 years, we felt it was enough."

Alex Lifeson says Rush are ‘basically done’ | Planet Rock

How the end of Rush let Alex Lifeson be 'as creative as I want to be' | The Toronto Globe And Mail

It's a shame, but it was fun while it lasted, and a person should always put their health first
