Seriously though, their first two albums are excellent rock albums, full of great guitar work and amazing vocals from Danny Bowes (who, unlike a certain singer from a coloured snake band, can still reach all the high notes faultlessly)

Are they along the lines of White Snake music wise?

Kind of, but with a more bluesy feel to it

In a way that's their problem. They are a good honest rock band of which you could buy any album of and enjoy it for years. They aren't flashy and have no gimmicks but they are one hell of a live band with a singer who is very charismatic and can work a crowd in ways others struggle.

I've seen them twice over the years, once at Donington and once supporting Alice Cooper at Manchester Arena. Songs like Dirty Love, Love Walked In and Low Life in High Places went down just as well with the crowd as School's Out and Elected. And i'm not saying that lightly.

I really should buy some of their cd's. All the early ones are a couple of quid on Music Magpie.

Nice little venue. It's posh. They won't let ruffians in. I sat in the balcony both times i've been.

"...The lengthy month-long trek will see Steve Hackett perform Genesis’ 1977 live album ‘Seconds Out’ in its unadulterated entirety plus other tracks from his Genesis and solo repertoire, including concert favourite ‘The Steppes’ to celebrate the 40th birthday of his fourth solo album ‘Defector’.

Making the tour extra special, the dates in Edinburgh, Dundee, Newcastle, Southampton and Leicester are at the exact same venues Genesis visited on their Wind & Wuthering Tour in 1977 – Steve’s final tour with the band.

Steve Hackett says: “I’m thrilled to bring Seconds Out back to life, featuring Genesis material at its most exciting and virtuosic, this time with all numbers played in full plus additional surprises!”"

I was at the Steve Hacket concert at The Sage Gateshead the other night, fantastic. He performed some of his solo material and the whole of Selling England By The Pound.
