Possibly your method of listening because the cd sounds superb. Very crunchy.

Through the Mists of Time is an outstanding song.

WTF??? I thought i was buying a Darkthrone album. :pound:

Have you not listened to that one before? I like it but it's a technical death metal album, they wanted to sound like the Swedish bands breaking big at the time.

No, not heard that ever before. Following a couple of listens through i do like it. It just isn't Darkthrone to my ears.

My collection of their studio work is slowly expanding. I now 'only' need to get Transilvanian Hunger, Panzerfaust, Total Death (the one i would have guessed was the DM album), Goat Lord, Ravishing Grimness, Hate Them, Sardonic Wrath and Old Star.

Wonder how Covid has affected their touring plans?

Soulside Journey is a great album.

What do you think of the Firepower album, Dem? It deserves all the praise it received - Priest are still delivering the goods. I much prefer this to their last album, Redeemer Of Souls. Both great albums, but this is just insanely good.

If you haven't already, do give Rob Halford's new autobiography a read. Slowly getting through it myself

He spins a good tale doesn't he, I really like his writing style :)

He really does - much funnier than I was expecting too. It's crammed full of great anecdotes which is no surprise, being the Metal God.

I'm still pretty early in - he's just mentioned Sin After Sin. Loving every word of it so far!

Love Firepower, Kyle. God knows why it took me so long to get it. Their best since Painkiller for me.

I bought Rob's book a couple of weeks ago. It might be my next read.

Totally agree, Dem - though I do have a special place for Nostradamus. Firepower is pure Heavy Metal gold!
