Sex Comedies!

Hi Shameless fans,

There's only a couple more days left until Shameless' comeback title, The Nurse is released on DVD (available here) and it's a seriously sleazy sex comedy.

So, what are some of the funniest and/or naughtiest sex comedies you've ever seen?

From the mainstream hits like American Pie to lesser known gems.

I'm still in therapy from when I binged on British sex comedies several years ago. The horror, the horror...

Demdike@Cult Labs 15th October 2013 10:23 PM

I love Up Pompeii if that counts.

The only other ones i own are the three Happy Hooker films based on the life of New York madam Xaviera Hollander.

All three are highly recommended. Although i haven't watched the third one yet as i only picked it up last week.

I do love the lemon popsicle series of movies and hopefully one day they will get released on bluray.

Bachelor Party is one of my favourites.

Does the Fantom Kiler series count?

...probably not :o

This one. The greatest Brit sex comedy. The film ran continuously at the Moulin cinema in Soho from 1977 until 1981.

Mary Millington used to live not far away from me.

Mary Millington used to live not far away from me.

A four year run of this says so much about the British sex film industry and the British attitude to sex that sociologists could produce countless books on the subject!

Millington's autobiography is a hoot if you can track down a copy.

I agree with PV, it is a terrible film and can only be viewed as a comedy.

Not much sex in it though, unlike Argento's hilarious version. Now that definitely is a sex comedy!

I'm a big fan of the 80's teen sex comedies.

I bet the film's working title was Dracula - Undead and Constipated.

I Have Always Wanted To Watch This Film But i have never seen it,as i love mary millington films.

Dave Boy 21st January 2017 02:57 PM

I have been thinking a lot about Mary Millington recently.
The reason being that a photo that Mary signed for my friend has been found along with her original paperback book The Amazing Mary Millington.
Mary used to live not far from me and is buried in the churchyard there.
So with all this on my mind I decided to have a Mary Millington double bill of two of her most famous films.

http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/8a...0f58a747b7.jpg
COME PLAY WITH ME (1977)

Two money forgers are on the run from the gang and hold up in a very quite hotel with plans to continue their crime.
The owner of the hotel Lady Bovington's nephew arrives with his group of dancing girls. They decide to turn the fortunes of the hotel around and now the girls are dressed as nurses and offering guests the ' full treatment'...

This film is so bloody funny. It plays as a Carry On film but with added nudity and a few soft sex scenes. Watching the film is like a who's who of British actors. The film even has a great song performed by Harrison Marks and Alfie Bass called "It's Great to be Here".
Mary's most well known film and really good fun.

http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/ef...3bfcd07af1.jpg
THE PLAYBIRDS (1978)

Someone is murdering the centrefolds of magazine 'Playbirds' and each victim has a number drawn on their foreheads.
WPC Mary Millington goes undercover and has a photoshoot for the magazine in an attempt to flush out the murderer...

A change of tone for this next film. Although there are humorous moments the film plays largely serious. The attacks are quite violent and in one death scene a girl is burned to death. The film is quite slow moving and it is nearly an hour in that Mary has her 'audition' for the undercover role.
The opening credits have Mary walking the beat around Soho and gives a great feel of all the shops and shows that was Soho back in the 1970's. Soho now is just a pale shadow of what it used to be.

So, all in all a vey good Mary double bill.

"I say, this is most irregular" !

A great post Dave boy.

I've been picking up several British sex films recently and thought i'd start a proper thread for them with reviews and such like.

The last couple i watched were Fiona Richmond's Hardcore and Let's Get Laid.

Although i've commented in this thread in the past i'd forgot it existed.

Demdike@Cult Labs 21st January 2017 04:18 PM

Dave, have you got a lot of these films?

Which ones do you recommend?

gag 21st January 2017 04:58 PM

Dont forget one of the most well known in the late 70s/80 is Porkys.
There also revenge of the nerds, confession of??
Bachelor party, screwballs, car wash are just a few that spring to my mind.

Wow. Great list Dem.

Is your PLAYBIRDS the remastered special edition DVD ? It's a great DVD which includes Mary Millington's World Striptease Extravaganza.

I noticed you have no COME PLAY WITH ME DVD. The remastered special edition also has Mary Millington's True Blue Extravaganza (1980) and Sex Is My Business (1974)

It's this version i have. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....82,268_AL_.jpg I'd forgotten it had the extra film on it.

Come Play With Me is one that's high priority.

I bought two this week that i've just posted in the relevant thread.

What The Swedish Butler Saw and Not Tonight Darling. Any idea what the quality is like on these?

Finally is Games that Lovers Play cut to bits?

Dave Boy 28th January 2017 03:14 PM

Ooo Matron..

As far as I am aware GAMES THAT LOVERS PLAY it cut for some bizarre reason. The scene is Joanna Lumley naked as she gets out of bed. The DVD is remastered so why this is, is anyone's guess.

As for the other films I can't help. Sorry Dem.

Commuter Husbands is another. Derek Ford (the director) did a few British sleazies worth seeking out.
