I can recommend the German Blu-rays of the original Black Christmas and The Sentinel (Hexen Sabbat). Both have pretty excellent audio and I haven't seen them looking this good on any previous format; not to say they can't look any better, but certainly all things considering not bad at all.

That's good to hear - I have Black Christmas on its way to me at the moment.
Anyone have an opinion on the German release of 'The Innocents'? Does it come with a reversible cover?

Are you sure that the Sentinel BD is the German BD and not an Austrian release? The doubt comes from the fact that The Sentinel was only relesased here as bootleg on DVD and no BD is listed on the OFDB:

OFDb - Hexensabbat (1977)

It looks excellent and has loads of superb bonus context and YES it has a reversible cover.

Yep Black Christmas has a reversible cover.
I finally parted with my Tartan Terror dvd last week.

A certain Mr Haflidason reviewed that release for BBC's Ceefax many moons ago between Christmas and New Year.

I remember buying it in MVC that week.I think it was the only horror release that week!

Just bought this-sick of waiting on the UK steelbook!

People are getting up in arms on other forums because the German Black Christmas uses a new stereo mix, and doesn't include the original mono.

Any thoughts on this?
