When young Julia hops on the night train, she is unaware of what the following hours hold in store for her. It was supposed to be nothing more than a quick job: quick money and quick sex in the anonymity of her private compartment. But what starts out as harmless fun, turns into an infernal trip into sheer terror when three shady characters declare the train their own personal hunting ground. Soon Julia and her fellow travelers fall prey to their perverted games. Tortured and humiliated, they have only one chance to survive: they must strike back – with a vengeance! Soon the night train turns into hell on wheels, unstoppable in its blood-crazed race on the tracks of pure madness...

Terror Express is probably one of the most radical revelations of Italian terror cinema. Ferdinando Baldi's super seedy sleaze excess embodies the very core of the wonderfully perverted exploitation cinema of the 70’s – a shameless hommage to Last House on the Left and I Spit on Your Grave, and at the same time a sign of what’s to come out of Italy in the following years. Terror Express is a dirty bastard of a film, and this is the reason for why it's so great!

director: Ferdinando Baldi
cast: Werner Pochath, Zora Kerova, Carlo de Mejo
written by: George Eastman

It was mate, but this is more attention-grabbing.
Philleh originally posted a link, but hey,the more people that know about it the better;)
I believe it's limited to 2000 pieces?

Kungfuzombie 30th September 2009 09:23 PM

Oh yeah, I just stumbled acros the other topic. The Exploitation discussion is probably also a better place for this one.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 30th September 2009 09:33 PM

No worries mate. It's right at home here as well.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 30th September 2009 11:05 PM

My German DVD of Carpenter's THE FOG arrived today. It states it has 'THE EXTENDED VERSION'.
Anyone any idea?

Peter Neal 1st October 2009 08:14 AM

It's definitely not the remake, reaps?
The redux has an extended cut, as for Carprenter's "The Fog", I kind of doubt that the Germans would have a version, which hasn't already surfaced anywhere else.:confused:

PS: I did a bit of reading and as far as I can tell, the "extended version" of the original "The Fog" on the German disc is nothing more or less than the version familiar to most viewers around the globe.
The film has seen various releases in Germany over the years, some of them cut, so I guess they wanted to point out that the movie on the DVD is the complete cut- in a fairly clumsy way!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 1st October 2009 06:43 PM

Thanks for that mate.I was kinda hoping you'd answer that!
It says Erstmals die EXTENDED VERSION mit original....which I'm guessing is...contains the extended version of the original?

Something like that.;)

That's exactly the problem with so many German releases- the variety of versions, due to censorship, rights only issued for the films, NOT the "original" German dub (which sometimes gets replaced with a cheaper, inferior re-dub in some cases of movie rights going from one distributor to the next) etc....

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 1st October 2009 07:35 PM

I'll bear that in mind mate, the next time I get excited about 'some extended cut I've never seen.':(

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 1st October 2009 07:36 PM

Germany-excellent cars-shite censorship.;)

I wish my X rated Kult edition of Mattei's Scalps would hurry up and arrive!

LineSix 6th October 2009 06:41 PM

Ok, so I have ordered four X-Rated Kult titles, Angel of Death 2, The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, The Nun of Monza and Sister Emanuelle. Never seen any of them, and to be honest I paid way more than I would consider a decent amount for four films (£60 including delivery, so it works out at £15 a DVD), but I just want to collect the hardbox stuff, the cover art etc. is awesome. No doubt all of the films will be crap though.

Is Angel of Death 2 the 4 Disc Ltd Digipak? If so you got a bargain at £15 mate! It comes with Women Behind Bars 4 too! If it is the version I'm thinking of it's not released by X-Rated but Simpel Movie a kind of sister comapny to X-Rated. It is pretty good nonetheless. I do like Bethmann's style of horror porn! ;)

Evelyn is a decent giallo, (if you're into gialli that is) and I haven't seen the other two - I haven't seen many nunsploitation films! I know for one that Evelyn has a few different cover variants - which artwork did you get?

To be honest X-Rated's are pretty pricey everywhere. You'd be hard pushed to find them going cheap except from a private seller.

LineSix 6th October 2009 10:03 PM

No, Angel of Death 2 isn't the 4-disc version, it's a Limited edition version (of 500). It's called a Special Export Uncut Edition.

Erm, the Evelyn version is this one:

There was another one aswell, but it was more expensive and I preferred the one I got, looks cooler in my opinion.

This is the other one:

vincenzo 6th October 2009 10:14 PM

The 2nd sleeve bears more than a faint resemblance to Herbert Van Thal's 14th Pan Horror Stories. :eyebrows:

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 6th October 2009 11:04 PM

I don't think I've ever come across that release of AOD2 LineSix - be good to see the artwork if you don't mind posting it that is.

I have a different X-Rated Kult Evelyn cover to those two:

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/q...ye/NECOOTG.jpg

Quite striking, I think. The toughest thing sometimes with these releases, is choosing which cover art to have!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 6th October 2009 11:39 PM

Just buy 'em all then mate....

Here is the version of Angel of Death 2:

http://www.dvd-forum.at/bilder/dvdre...9815327500.jpg

There is a problem though, I don't think it is a hardbox release, according to the main discussion forum for all things X-Rated Kult (that Andreas Bethmann guy posts on there), in the database of DVD's it's listed as a 'Keepcase (Amaray)', so that is ridiculously dissapointing and I'm considering cancelling the order for that one.

Ahh... I've seen this one before, it is the Simpel Movie release (see logo on cover) but it's the standard edition, rather than the boxset. Rare I think though at only 500 pieces. I'd get it if I were you mate.

LineSix 7th October 2009 12:02 AM

Yeah, I suppose I'll stick with it, that cover art is awesome though.

Philleh 8th October 2009 08:11 AM

You could always trade it too! ;)

Pete 8th October 2009 10:05 AM

Scapls arrived yesterday. I'll have a review up soon.

LineSix 9th October 2009 10:52 AM

All of the X-Rated Kult stuff has turned up fine, Angel of Death 2 is in fact a hardbox aswell, which I'm happy about.

Philleh 9th October 2009 10:55 AM

Good news dude! Looks like you have some fun viewing ahead of you this weekend! :woot:

bdc 14th October 2009 07:47 PM

Finally on dvd...Not of This Earth (1957)
Die Außerirdischen - Gesandter des Grauens
Label: Ostalgica
German and English tracks.

Pete 15th October 2009 12:15 PM

Just ordered a copy of Angel of Death 2.

LineSix 15th October 2009 01:22 PM

Just bought another two, Marquis De Sade: Justine (Jess Franco) and Violence in a Women's Prison (Bruno Mattei). Never seen either of them, I'm just buying them as and when I have some spare money. I think you can get both of these uncut in the UK anyway so shouldn't be any problem with customs either.

Pete 15th October 2009 01:24 PM

Yep they have both been released uncut over here. Justine by Anchor Bay and Violence by Vipco.

MDS Justine contains one of my all time fave film scores.

LineSix 26th October 2009 05:37 PM

I've got quite a few of the hardboxes due to turn up now, six in total. I'm still waiting on Marquis De Sade: Justine and Violence in a Women's Prison. But I also ordered Bloodstained Shadows, The Curse of the Scorpion's Tail, Exitus II (signed by Andreas Bethmann and limited to 99) and Watch Me When I Kill (which I know is out on Shameless but I'm aiming to collect all of the X-Rated Kult Italio-Giallo series and the Nunploitation series).

So these X-Rated Kult's are pretty much the main focus of my DVD buying at the moment, as they are awesome and highly collectible but also quite pricey.

They are great releases, no question. (Mainly for the artwork, as some of the transfers are a bit dodgy). Good luck with collecting the Italo-Giallo releases L6  I have them all bar one (Slaughter Hotel) - I've been trying to find it for a few years now, but have had no joy I'm afraid. :mmph:

Some of them were limited issue like Secret Killer (Eyeball) with only 666 copies released. It's unfortunate really as they are amazing titles to watch, display, and collect.

I was tempted to pick up a signed Exitus II, but I have the 2 Disc Hardcore-Gore Edition and didn't have the funds to justify a double dip... May be one day! ;)

How many do you have now?

LineSix 26th October 2009 06:46 PM

I will have 10 in total once the other six turn up. I think the reason they are so collectible and sought after is because not much is known about them really, as in how many of each release their is (apart from the numbered ones), and there is no central website to buy them or company website, so tracking them down can be pretty tough really, especially the older releases.

Thanks.
LineSix

LineSix 2nd November 2009 12:33 PM

I'm still waiting on the six X-Rated Kult titles, even the first two haven't arrived yet which were posted out on October 14th which will be three weeks on Wednesday. I know there is a postal strike on but I wouldn't have expected them to take this long.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 2nd November 2009 05:25 PM

Who did you order them from mate?

This postal strike is a pain in the tits.
I've just recieved Messiah of Evil from Amazon US,which was ordered 3 weeks ago as well....

Pete 3rd November 2009 10:28 AM

Im still waitning for Angel of Death 2 to arrive!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 3rd November 2009 04:48 PM

Funnily enough,I had to send TNT for a parcel from Leeds yesterday, and before I got to speak to an operator,I got an automated message along the lines of...

'Don't let the Royal Mail affect your business, here at TNT our mail services are first class, providing you with peace of mind and confidence of reaching your customers when required....':pound:

The Royal Mail have only themselves to blame:tsk:

I've refunded THREE Amazon customers in the last month, due to the Royal Mail failing to deliver DVD's.Everything has now got to be sent recorded.
