It's normal that the Starlight logo appears on these discs (XT on label though).

My cousin has the hardbox and I compared the discs, especially for the cut from the shooting of the nanny. I know it's only supposed to be 1sec, but to my eyes, they were exactly the same. Ah well, it's all good I suppose. :)

Check these:
"I compared this edition with the Hartboxversion, in that moment I noticed that at least in the scene at 70:19, as the Japanese of the Triple Headshot is missed, the Closeup of the entrance hole is missing. You only see the last frame of the setting and how the guy falls over it backwards.

2. censored scene: "After the Yakuza Dolph Bossin the throwing knife was shot in the forehead, the setting of it in the longer version Metalpak 2 frames, but it falls in the hard box version for much longer." 0.56 sec shorter." (Google Translate ;))

This finally arrived today...

Sadly though the case was cracked in two places

Luckily though, those great guys at Elecktrocity are contacting CMV and getting a new glassbox sent out... a shame but it was resolved quickly so I'm not complaining!

Also arrived was Tourist Trap limited 99... strange feel to the cover, very cool and will be watching it tonight!

Damn, I gave my cousin the discs from the steelbook when I gave him the hardbox and kept the ones from the hardbox myself, but today I swapped them back so I had the correct ones with the steelbook. Now I'll need to go and get them back!

I ordered it at the start of the month! Lovely set, well it will be when the case is replaced... its number 18/250

Annoyingly though, I have just realised that I had ordered this one, which is the much better cover but received the above... lucky to get one at all though I guess!

You certainly were lucky. I was going to get one when they were first released and I'm kicking myself that I never bought it.

Got the dvds from The Punisher XT hardbox back from my cousin (minus the hardbox that he threw away!!!!!). The hardbox version is indeed longer than the starlight version included in the metalpak. Thanks for pointing that out to me bdc. Very strange that XT used the starlight version for the metalpak.

Just arrived in the post today - X-rated Kult's "DSCHUNGELRATTEN PART 2" - a Hong Kong action film set in the Vietnam war. Hartbox release limited to 666 copies, it is such an obscure film it does not even seem to have an IMDb page. (Important note: the VHZ re-release does not include English subtitles or audio and may well be a cut version).

I have a small collection of German DVDs, mostly Pepla and Spaghetti Westerns but a few of the forgotten Hammer titles as well, most of which I have reviewed at some time or other:

Boxsets:
Django Italo-Western collection
Dr. Fu Man Chu collection
Halleluja Italo-Western Box
Karl May Collection I
Karl May Collection II
Karl May Collection III

Individual releases:
A Challenge for Robin Hood
Baron Blood
Black Sunday
Bounty Killer
Buon funerale, amigos!... paga Sartana
Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell
I Giorni Della Violenza
Hercules Unchained
Johnny Hamlet
Knives of the Avenger
Una nuvola di polvere... un grido di morte... arriva Sartana
Lost Continent
Grand Canyon Massacre
Men of Sherwood Forest
Messalina Venere imperatrice
Il Pistolero dell'Ave Maria
Preparati La Bara
Romolo e Remo
Die Schlangengrube und das Pendel
Shanghai Joe
Spara, Gringo, Spara
Gli Ultimi giorni di Pompei
Pistol for 100 Coffins
W Django
Whip and the Body
