Could be THE BEYOND......With a black and white prologue....:heh:

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 27th June 2018 08:49 PM

BLACK RAIN!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 27th June 2018 08:53 PM

The added P&P used to make a mockery of their 'promotions' too, so good to see that they now offer free P&P within the UK according to their site's delivery policy.

It is free p&p definitely. But as others have said they are still more expensive than everywhere else.

I know this applies only to myself but five 88 dvd's for £20 at HMV is a lot better value. Or two for ten pounds for any pedantics.

Paul Zombie 29th June 2018 09:02 AM

i always like too buy my 88 films from hmv when they are on offer. i have many now as i always get to hmv once a month on a thursday. :)

platostotal 29th June 2018 02:29 PM

This is well out-there, but... in Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Suddenly Stopped Living and Became crazy Mixed up Zombies(or whatever it goes by), the main guy flips out when he sees a umbrella spinning just like the one in 88s post (highly unlikely but just a thought)

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if 88 Films released The Beyond in the near future. An insider on Blu-ray.com said that a UK label has the rights to the new remaster, and it's not Arrow.

TJ Doc 30th June 2018 02:23 PM

Calum mentioned on Blu-ray.com that some "Ozploitation" was inbound, so maybe this just means 88 have set up some kind of deal with Umbrella Entertainment.

g053584398 30th June 2018 02:26 PM

I would be delighted if 88 started releasing Ozploitation films.

Me too.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 30th June 2018 04:59 PM

RAZORBACK being a prime candidate!

g053584398 30th June 2018 07:35 PM

Next of Kin would be pretty cool as well!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 30th June 2018 08:06 PM

Good shout!
I had a German hardbox back in the day,but the quality was abysmal.

g053584398 30th June 2018 08:33 PM

I still have the hardbox version and, like you said, the quality isn't great at all. I've tried getting hold of the deleted Australian DVD over the years without success, but it may be that the source is no better than the German DVD.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 30th June 2018 09:59 PM

Yeah probably not much better,if at all.
Pity, because this is a forgotten gem of a film.

Is it Xmas?? ;)

Susan Foreman 1st July 2018 12:16 PM

Going by a newly posted picture on FB, it would appear that 88Films have got at least one Jess Franco film in the pipeline

Definitely some Oz titles coming, they’ve posted a photo of the Australian flag on Facebook with a “New Announcements” caption, plus Calum confirmed on Blurage.com too

Unlikely since it’s part of Eureka’s Masters of Cinema range. Plus, I know it’s definitley not that that’s being released. [emoji3]

Rik 5th July 2018 12:00 PM

Wouldn’t matter if it was a Neighbours or Home and Away box set, fanboys will be fighting to pick it up

I’m guessing they’ve struck a deal with Umbrella so I expect Dagon and/or Razorback to be announced

Could be, that's Severin in the US and they've licensed a few things that Severin have had.

Severin also have Dead Kids, Patrick and Thirst so they could also be possibilities.

88 Vault opens its doors again on 8th October with this Ozploitation classic from 1980! With a cast that includes such acclaimed thespians as Robert Powell (TOMMY) and David Hemmings (DEEP RED), the thrills come thick and fast in this oddball curiousity that, once seen, is hard to forget - exactly what one might expect from a script penned by the legendary Ozploitation hand Everett De Roche (LONG WEEKEND, PATRICK, ROAD GAMES, FORTRESS)!

Can you ever have enough Ozploitation? We say no - which is why October 22nd brings the mesmerising flesh-oozing gore of the classic BODY MELT (1993) to 88 Vault!!! Love STREET TRASH? Then expect to lap up this superior Melbourne-born cousin of VHS-era splat-stick shock!
