Well another label bites the dust on the high street.

HMV and FOPP no longer have any PH section.
Apparently all titles have been 'returned'.....

I wonder exactly what that will do for their sales figures?

HMV hadn't stocked new PH films since before Covid, if I remember right the releases that came out with The Pillow Book were the last ones.

They also haven't stocked any Eureka titles since the Sunrise takeover.

So to reply to myself, probably not an awful lot when it comes to sales figures.

I did buy the Night of the Demon limited edition from Fopp at the time, but that was a couple of years back now.

This is a shame. I prefer to buy my PH fitles in store due to the cases they use. Quite a lot of the time the artwork is slightly hanging out the top or bottom of the case damaging the paper sleeve, which doesn't help with my packaging OCD.

Do you have packaging OCD? You should have mentioned it.

You'll be saying you have artwork OCD next.

Only kidding, Stephen. I'm very much in the same boat as regards packaging / mintness.

Those who sit there looking at security cameras when i'm purchasing books for example will wonder what the hell i'm up to checking out every copy for blemishes.

I don't recall it, no. Still as they say 'You learn something new every day'.

I must admit i'm always making sure the paper inlays are never sticking out the top or bottom on discs as they stand out like a sore thumb to me. Has to be symmetrical.

We won't mention US discs where the inlay sticks out above the plastic inlay and then ridiculously has a plastic security label stuck across it meaning when you remove it doing so removes the surface of the artwork. :axekiller:

Feck all wrong with artwork OCD.
