if you ever see an excellent doc called THIS FILM IS NOT YET RATED, the MPAA are a bunch of liars and one guy said the MPAA are next to the CIA for being so secretive
in the end though its all politics

Yes, I've seen that and it's well worth a look. The points he raises are very good and really shows the MPAA for being the idiots they truly are. Like, you can have a love scene, but if the bloke's arse moves then you're moving into NC-17 territory. It's laughable.

Nothing could have been more corrupt than the Cleanflicks enterprise. A rental system, eventually found to breach copyright, that edited movies for content themselves. The owner was later arrested for having underage sex while keeping a huge stash of porn at the back of the store!

another piece of crap from them is that they copied a version of the film submitted to the MPAA without the director Kirby Dick's consent
a shifty attorney for the MPAA told him and it wasn't the first time they have done this

they broke the law....and yet on R1 dvds esp you have the FBI logo and stuff telling you copying etc is illegal and you will get prison and fine
yet they copied the film.....

there was a scene from a 1978 film called COMING HOME which i think Jon Voight won best actor for and the love scene with Jane Fonda and her orgasm go on and on yet it was passed uncut with an R rating
nowadays it would be cut down

another example of the MPAA is that they are very homophobic

as much as i loathe the BBFC at least they tell you (well, most of the time)what has been cut and why with their dumb guidelines
the MPAA don't tell you as such what to cut

Great idea to put together a resource like this but how about a list of titles that now have a definitive BD release...I'll start racking my brain..

I think Snuff is the latest one to get a Blu release... I used to watch this on a fuzzy VHS back in the 90's and to think somewhere down the line the film would be getting this kind of treatment would have been something in the realm of science fiction !

Yeah I'll definitely get this once the price comes down a little. Still no Ferox BD...come on Grindhouse.

There's still a few from the 72 list I've never seen... Deep River Savages, Pranks, The Bogeyman...

According to their Facebook page, it's in the works as we speak :)

They're releasing all of their Sony titles first, due to short liscencing period.

Then they'll probably get into their titles. I know that Pieces is getting a 4K scan, and both their Cannibal films are in the works too.

Also think they're doing a new scan of The Beyond, can't remember.

DRS is great! Plenty of unintentional humour mainly provided by the lead actor. The Dutch DVD is nice enough but I'd certainly upgrade.
