Agreed, one of my favourite giallos too.

I've seen it before, when Redemption released it on VHS but I can't remember what happens - I'll watch it soon though - probably...

I think that UK VHS was quite heavily censored so it'll be like watching a new film! Just listened to the Solange audio commentary track (waited till wife went to bed as she's not really interested in them). Another excellent track by Jones & Newman, I love it when these guys are paired up. When the new 4K mastered blu-ray of Bird With Crystal Plumage comes out, I'll be retaining my old BU version for their commentary. Just as I keep the flawed UK Suspiria bd for the very same reason.

Solange and Daughters.
Cracking films.
Dallamano's finest.

You can't leave out Rings of Fear, which he wrote. Is there a R2 release of this floating about?

I see Arrow are screening some slashers at the Prince Charles Cinema next month, including one film still to be announced, but since they're screening The Slayer at Texas Frightmare this weekend, I think it's a safe bet they got the rights on both sides of the pond, and that's the mystery title.

That's exactly what I thought, can't see it being anything other than the Slayer

Brain Damage and Phenomena both arrived today! :woot:

SymbioticFunction 8th May 2017 11:26 AM

My Phenomena is due to arrive today (from Amazon). Am excited to see it in stunning 4K mastered quality. :) Will just watch the 116 min cut as that is my preferred version. Also keen on the extras - a 30 min visual essay on the 3 different cuts, a 2 hr making-of and a new commentary track from US writer, Troy Howarth. Not at all fussed about the cd as I already own a Simonetti/Pignatelli "Goblin" cd (but it's still a nice addition to the set).

Justin101 8th May 2017 11:46 AM

I actually forgot it came with the CD so I'm happy about that. I feel like watching Creepers tonight, just because I've never seen that cut of the film before and I am intrigued to see how bonkers it is. Then I'll watch the full cut with the commentary track :)
